The enormity and scope of creating an IT management system and infrastructure for the Olympic Games, the world’s largest sports IT contract, presents a host of unique challenges. Atos Origin is executing a carefully honed strategy based on years of experience in delivering comprehensive IT services for major global sporting events.

Atos Origin is the Official Worldwide Information Technology Partner of the Athens 2004 Olympic Games, the Turin 2006 Olympic Winter Games, the Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympic Games and the London 2012 Olympic Games.

The Atos Origin contract with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) is the world’s largest sports related IT contract and was recently extended to cover the Sochi Olympic Winter Games in 2014 in Russia and the Olympic Games in 2016, the host country of which will be announced on 2 October 2009.

Atos Origin through the SchlumbergerSema's acquisition was involved in previous Games during the 1990s, starting with the Barcelona Olympic Games in 1992, where we were the COOB Official supplier of Operational Systems.
